"It helps you pay attention to where other people are hurting and so they can know that you might be hurting too.  This way when you meet together to pray you're not just talking about what your problems are or things you are grateful for, you are putting them together before God who can help the situation and who deserves praise.  You are not alone in it."

It is great being part of a friendly team who encourages one another to pray and share God's word in small groups of two or three.  I thank God that I can do this for He is a great God, always willing to listen and guide"

I learn how to pray -  I find prayer difficult and can easily get distracted so praying with others helps me focus on our awesome God who hears and answers prayer.    This encourages me to be bolder when I pray and as a result
I grow in a desire to pray more ."

We enjoy meeting for prayer as it gives us an opportunity to share and pray for the needs of ourselves and others and we find it easier to pray in a small group.  We especially enjoy prayer triplets.   "Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another".  Hebrews 10:25

"It is encouraging to spend time with the church family and you do not have to pray out loud in a large group as you go into small groups of 3 or 4 to pray. "

"When we pray together we share our heart for God and for each other. This means we experience the blessing of fellowship with others as they share their hearts with us."

  1. to encourage others (1 Thess 5:11, Romans 15:5-6)
  2. because prayer is powerful (James 5:16)
  3. because prayer is even more powerful when we pray together. (James 5:14-15)"

"When I first came to prayer nights I did not know what to expect.  I soon learnt a different way to pray and I felt that praying together helped me become more focused on others and their needs.  We are not aware of these needs until we come together as a group."
Wallace Smyth

"Jesus said when 2 or 3 people gather in my name then I will be in the midst of them.  To pray with others helps you to draw closer to them and God."  Anne Crossett
