The market town of Magherafelt is situated halfway between Belfast and the City of Londonderry. It is close to Lough Neagh (the largest inland lake in the British Isles) and the beautiful Sperrin Mountains.
First Presbyterian Church was founded in 1738 and since then there has been an unbroken line of Christian worship and influence in the area. The present minister is only the ninth in the congregation's history.
