The CD launch will take place in the church building on
Saturday the 26th April @7.30pm, and we warmly welcome you to come along with a friend, ready to sing! CDs will be available for purchase on the night and refreshments will be served afterwards in the Church Hall. What inspired the CD?In September 2014 a group from First Magherafelt Presbyterian Church will head to Malawi for 2 weeks to continue the work that we, and others before us, have begun there. During our time we hope to work closely with Chief Alan, the tribal leader in the village of Ballykajon, and an elder in Ballykajoni Church.
It is our hope to complete the building of a meeting place for worship there which is functional and weather tight. In addition to this we hope to repeat the success of the ‘Bible club’ which we ran during our last visit, based in the orphan centre in the Ballykajoni compound. Up to 200 kids came for times of Bible stories, singing and games, all done through a translator. Finally some of the group plan to work alongside the staff at Livingstonia Memorial Hospital, a local hospital with a Christian ethos, where group members will run staff training and work alongside current staff to help and encourage them where possible. We thank you in advance for your support of this project and ask for a kind donation of
£10 for the CD (or £15 for a two CD set). Please ask a member of the Malawi team for more information. Following the album launch the CD will also be available to purchase on itunes and from local faith mission bookshops. |
